How we make sure the nematodes can do their job:

All of our nematode products are thoroughly tested at various stages of production to ensure the nematodes being produced kill the target pest. For example, we even have our own slug farm to make sure we have enough slugs to do all year round testing of Nemaslug.
Once made, the stored products are test sampled regularly to ensure the nematodes in the packs kill the target pests.
All of these processes are registered and are part of our ISO 9001:2000 certification, which is externally audited every year.
Our detailed research shows that all of our nematode products are environmentally friendly and safe for children pets and wildlife.

We test sample and count the nematodes in the sample to make sure the right number are there How we ensure you get the number of nematodes you expect:

When we harvest the nematodes, we can calculate how much product we need to put in each pack to ensure you get the nematodes you pay for. We always err on the side of caution, which means that you will get more nematodes than the number stated on the pack.
Once packed, we test sample and count the nematodes in the sample to make sure the right number are there.
As you can imagine, counting nematodes is a tricky business - and one we have perfected.
Again, these processes are part of our ISO 9001:2000 certification, which is externally audited every year.

Making nematodes at the world's largest nematode production facility How we ensure your nematodes arrive fresh:

Once packed, nematode products are kept in our special temperature controlled cold rooms. These are kept cold enough to slow down the nematode's activity, without harming them in any way.
When an order arrives from our distributor, the products are packed in to boxes with 'cool' blocks and dispatched by courier to arrive the next day. This method ensures the products remain at a cool temperature, even in summer.
On arrival a distributor places the products in an approved storage refrigerator.
The distributor will send out individual packs to customers.

How we check our distributors look after the products:

We need to ensure all of our distributors can look after the products properly so they reach the ultimate customer in good condition.
Before anyone can become a Becker Underwood approved distributor, they must be able to satisfy us that their arrangements for receipt, storage and dispatch of the products meets our requirements.
